2010 Bowen Therapy Class Schedule

Level I & II:
During the beginning seminar, 12 Bowen lessons are demonstrated (lecture and hands-on), while encouraging student participation. Emphasizing comprehension of body language, the class learns how Tom Bowen’s philosophy adapts to each individual client. Students receive a manual written by Milton, and a 28-hour merit diploma for those completing the class. Graduates are capable of doing basic Bowen therapy, and qualify for the intermediate level. 4 days -- $750

Level III:
The Level III "certification" course consists of both written and practical exams. Also included in this 2 day class are additional lessons and client-based exercises. Passing students attain certification. All seminar materials were developed by Milton Albrecht, as part of his complete Bowen therapy educational program. 2 days -- $450

Level IV:
Level IV is a 2-day, 14 hour class where theory and philosophy is discussed deeply, and students are taught how to individualize Bowen to each client. Lessons pertaining to deep sciatica, heart/circulatory problems, migraine/headache issues are included. This seminar consists entirely of Milton's contributions to Bowen therapy, and is widely regarded as his most important work. 2 days -- $700

All west coast seminars are taught by Jolean Parker, an accomplished Bowen therapist, and longtime protégé of Milton Albrecht. Jolean had suffered over 10 years with a TMJ problem that required surgery not yet available. After seeing a Bowen therapist, she experienced immediate relief. Jolean also had daily headaches and chronic back pain that has been resolved with Bowen Therapy. Jolean felt that everyone should know about and experience this amazing work. As a result, Jolean became a student of Milton Albrecht in 1997. Jolean now has a thriving practice in Cool, California (8 miles from Auburn, Ca) and in addition, she is an independent BTI-Certified Instructor for the West Coast and teaches Level I- IV. She has a profound familiarity with Bowen Therapy, and brings to the classes a captivating, energetic teaching style much like that of her mentor, Milton Albrecht.

All east coast seminars are taught by Cheryll Hillier, LMT. Cheryll is a native of Manchester, England, where she first learned Bowen therapy in 1996. After moving to the U.S. in 1997, Cheryll and her husband, David, opened a Bowen therapy clinic in Maitland, Florida, and it was during this period that she met and became a student of Milton Albrecht. Milton was immediately struck by Cheryll's adept finesse of Bowen therapy, and he continued to mentor Cheryll's discerning skill up until his passing in 2003. In addition to being an independent BTI-Certified Instructor for the East Coast, Cheryll and David now own and operate a very busy Bowen center in Altamonte Springs, Florida, outside of Orlando. Barbara Cheryll Hillier, LMT, is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a Continuing Education Approved Provider #451058-09 (currently offering 28 CE hours for completion of Level I & II classes)
